![]() I attached a picture of the dangerous crackhead that was very aggressive with all of us. Again, no glass bottom like they advertise. The only way you would have had a good experience on this boat is if you were one of the last to board and didn’t have to wait an extremely long time like the rest of us. All the negative reviews on here are 100% accurate. Do yourself a huge favor and just pay the extra money for a regular taxi. Hopefully this boat business will be reported and shut down. ![]() Oh and it’s not the glass bottom that they advertise! Their was absolutely NO GLASS BOTTOM. We also saw a lot of the boat crew and the captain himself drinking very heavily, these huge cans of beer. My husband’s first visit to the Bahamas and his last bc of this awful experience. Everyone else on the boat was also upset bc it was over an hour wait. Now, it takes a lot to get me upset but this was just over the line. I then asked him “when are we leaving? We have been here for over an hour” and he says “we’ll leave when the damn boat is full! Now sit down and be patient!” It was very clear he was high on something serious. I couldn’t even understand half of what he was saying. The man then got aggressive and started yelling at both of us “you damn Americans don’t know anything” blah blah blah. The same homeless looking crackhead comes over to me and my husband, and starts singing sex songs in our face! My husband got so upset he told the guy to back off immediately. This guy had rotting teeth, he smelled awful, and he was being so inappropriate talking about sex on the beach and grinding his hips on one of the other passengers, who ended up walking off the boat and demanded a refund. ![]() So we most definitely know drug addicts when we see them. My husband and I are both Emergency Room Physician’s. This specific local, who honestly looks like a crackhead, and no I’m not being sarcastic. They have this local, who is on the boat, literally grabbing people by the arm (aggressively) and piling us all like clams in the boat. I was very upset by this bc we were on a cruise so we had to be back at the port by a certain time. After they move you from the sketchy spot, it was literally about 1 hour and 15 min. They have you wait under this very sketchy tree area. However, since it was my husbands first time I thought why not take a nice boat ride, especially for the cheap price. They get in your face saying “$4 glass bottom boat ride.” Every time I have visited Nassau, I always just took a taxi. The Nassau water taxi is the first booth on the right when you walk through this area. Right when you get off the cruise ship, you walk and are bombarded by the locals trying to sell you stuff. It was his first time in the Bahamas so I was very excited to show him how beautiful the place was. My husband and I took a cruise to Nassau. A 1 rating is far to generous for this contastrophe. If I could this “so called” business a negative 0 I would. If they ran on time it would be a great trip. I think they should make it quite clear that the ferry runs willy nilly and waits to be full before leaving. The same thing on the way back we waited and fortunately for us a cruise ship arrived and the boat filled up quickly so we were away in 30 minutes. The journey was quite short with some nice views and a guide speaking to us.Īs it had taken so long to get to Nassau we only spent a short time there so that we could return for lunch. ![]() Had we known it was such a hassle we would have taken a taxi. Wrong, another two people arrived and we waited and waited about an hour before the ferry left. The following day we turned up at 0915 and paid USD16 for two return tickets to Nassau.Īt 0930 there was no sight of leaving and we were then informed that when another two passengers arrive the ferry will leave in 30 minutes. We were informed that they run every 30 minutes and the first one was at 0930. We checked this out the day before going on the Water Taxi. The ferry never returned.Beware we heard these guys will say one thing and then change it up.specially if there are cruise ships in port, as there was four when we went. We were then able to catch a cab fir $20 back to Alantis. After waiting till 5pm and no ferry showing.we went to the tourist police dept and we were issued a refund on the return tickets by the cruise dept. So after going to the straw market and fish fry.we caught a cab and headed back to the pickup area. This same guy said the Last Ferry to head back to paradise Island would leave at 4:30,pm. Some dude named Jerry Blabbed the whole way about the area and then asked for a tip. After waiting over 30 mins for a ferry.we finally set out for nassau. My wife and ibabd out two small kids paid $10 each RT. We have been in paradise Island st Alantis for a few days and wanted to take the ferry to nassau.
